DELIVERABLES Installation & Video
DATE 2006
WWW www.patrickmaun.com

Stills from the video Neighbors. A dual-monitor piece from the Genocide Project. While the conflict in Kosovo provided the initial inspiration for the piece, the characters represent archetypes in any genocidal conflict – aggressor and victim, soldier and citizen, majority and minority. By removing all sense of time and place the piece presents the face of genocide as universal and timeless.

CLIENT Capella Resorts + Hotels
VIA Spunk Design Machine
DELIVERABLES Motion
DATE 2007
ROLE Creative Direction & Animation

Another quick and dirty motion project created together with Spunk. We had a set of illustrations, a script that was too long and a tiny budget. We developed some incredible ideas which we’re then whittled down by the client to what you see here. Still managed to communicate luxury nicely.

DELIVERABLES Presentation
DATE 2007
ROLE Design & Animation

Another quick and dirty project. Minnesota Public Radio/American Public Media needed a presentation to introduce the marketing department to the rest of the company. Created to be completely modular in order to add and subtract employees and projects and the presentation evolved. Simple but effective.

CLIENT Oxygen Plus
DELIVERABLES Branding Video
DATE 2007
ROLE Design & Animation

OxygenPlus asked Complete to make a series of quick branding videos. This was the first of them. We had very little time to create this and almost zero content. It’s all about the use of type and still photography. Even with these limitations, it does a great job expressing the feel of the product. In this case, portable oxygen for the spa and health market.

All photography and video including the slowmo was shot here in the studio.

CLIENT Irruption Dance
VIA Irruption Dance
DELIVERABLES Motion Identity
DATE 2005
ROLE Design & Animation

Created for the performance and dance collective Irruption, this video slug acts as title sequence for videos and as an introductory animation on the web. The piece was made by de-constructing the logo and combining it with live dance. One thing I like about this piece is it’s simplicity. It functions online as well as it does as a video piece.
