Complete is the design practice of Patrick Maun, a creative director and designer for close to twenty years working in wide variety of settings. Complete has been everything from a small team to a solo-endeavor designing and developing solutions for clients as well as partnering with agencies to enhance their design offerings, helping with new business development and developing strategy.
Complete has worked with many amazing clients including Target, Ikaati Tea, Nicros Climbing, Ames Adventure, Lube Tech, Néve Designs, Medtronic, FEMA, Minnesota Public Radio, Philips Design, Fifth Third Bank, Vasque, Irish Setter, Marvin Windows, Lee Jeans, Optum Health, Solve Advertising, BMW, Nikon, Apple, Marshall Field’s, Applied Materials, General Mills, Yoplait, The European Union and Larsen Design.
At Capella University (‘12-’16) I was brought in to help build a creative team for a complete overhaul of their website and online branding. Working with an extremely talented in-house and contract team of designers, developers, UX and content strategists we were able to go from zero to launch in less than six months. After a successful launch I continued working with for several years to oversee updates, art direct multiple photo shoots, execute and incorporate new branding, film and edit multiple video projects, help to implement a new CMS system and working to established relationships between design and long-entrenched organizational silos.
My time at OLSON (‘07-’08) was spent on clients Target, Fifth Third Bank, Marvin Window and others while also helping land new accounts including Lee Jeans, Vasque and Red Wing Shoes. I was the interactive creative director for both Target and Marshall Fields (‘03-’06) directing teams through weekly site refreshes, in-house brand launches and multiple seasonal campaigns.
I enjoy all aspects of the design process from planning and strategy, user experience through to getting up to my elbows in Illustrator, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve, Logic and Capture One. Whether directing or creating all aspects of design drive me.
