Hip Hooray creates smart celebration gear. Think renewable and reusable party gear. They came to us with a unique challenge. Could we help them create a branded user experience using Network Solutions built-in eCommerce solution? We were able to complete rebuild the NS templates from the ground up to give the customer a cohesive user experience.

Paul Thissen 2010

Paul Thissen is running for governor of Minnesota. Very cool. The Thissen campaign launched a site but needed some extensive updates and modifications. Complete stepped in and has revamped the site. Keep your eyes on paulthissen.com as we’re always adding fun new features. Now go out and register to vote.

Unfortunately, Paul withdrew from the gubernatorial race, but we are pleased that Complete is keeping the site going as Paul runs for re-election to the Minnesota House.

D’Amico Kitchen Video Blog

We created this video blog with our friends at Brew Creative. A really fun project that has been receiving a lot of attention from publications including the New York Times, Creativity Online, the Start Tribune and many others. Chef John Occhiato is the executive chef at the new D’Amico flagship restaurant D’Amico Kitchen. By giving him a video blog in addition to the nightly live kitchen video feed, we’re able to form a connection with existing and potential customers.

Néve Designs

Newsflash: A placeholder site we designed is currently in place as we are now in the process of completely redesigning the Néve site. Exciting things coming!
Néve is a cool company creating awesome sweaters out in Colorado. They are also making sweaters for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard teams for the upcoming 2010 Olympics. How cool is that? You can’t be knitting sweaters for Olympiads and have an outdated website, so Néve came to our partners Brew looking for a quick site refresh before they do a complete overhaul of the site. Brew came to us for help with the design and development and the rest is sweater history.

The site and CMS were build sometime in pre-history and do not address the actual needs of Néve at all. The backend of the site was developed in ASP.net and was a bear to work with. The CMS was unable to work with multiple categories for products so as a workaround we were forced to actually hand-code most of the site with hooks into the backend to display the product selection.

We whipped up a quick modular Flash-based slideshow player, overhauled the CSS and worked with Brew to refresh the design and that’s was that. All in all, the site was turned around in less than two weeks.

Target Direct

In mid-2003 through 2006 Patrick began work as interim creative director for interactive at Target and Marshall Field’s. Target is currently the third most visited retail site on the web. Patrick oversaw all creative aspects of Target and Marshall Field’s interactive division. In addition to overseeing all creative, he was responsible for a large designers and copywriters. Patrick was also responsible for working with the art buying team on selecting and coordinating with external design resources which make up a hefty portion of the design done at Target. Patrick went to lots and lots of meetings.

Medtronic Paceart

Applied Materials

Complete was brought in at the 11th hour to quickly reorganize and design a portion of a very large and confusing website from Applied Materials – the largest chip machine manufacturer. After de-constructing and developing a new information architecture for this very large site, a new client-centric design was developed and implemented.

FEMA

We were asked by FEMA (yes, that FEMA) to create an interactive experience examining types of flood-prone areas. In addition to the scenario development and narrative, Complete illustrated, designed and developed the project.

This project was interesting as what started out as rough sketches and user scenarios ended up as the final designs. Each type of flooding is accompanied by a simple demonstrative animation and a brief fictional story about the flood victims.

Oxygen Plus is a new company offering portable refreshing and invigorating oxygen to the spa and health consumer. Complete designs and develops all interactive branding including website, eCommerce, email basts, video and motion branding and much more. The site is completely modular and allows for the quick addition or new content and products.
